Position: 2nd Camera Operator/ Camera Assistant
I am 2nd Camera Operator, for the feature film shot on Canon 550D SLR. I Direct/shoot short adverts to suit the client and there style/products as well as edit them to the limited time scale ensuring that the production value is kept to its high standards.
February 2008 till February 2010 - Next Time Ned (Feature film) - Director: Thomas McCue
Position : 2nd Camera Assistant/A.D/editor.
I was promoted from runner to 2nd Camera Assistant due to my extensive knowledge, enthusiasm and experience. On set my role was to assist the DOP, moving things out of shot that weren't needed, helping with lighting etc. Since the AD had to leave due to illness I took on their role of ensuring things ran to schedule, and made sure everyone was quite during shooting.
October 2009 - We are Sailing
Position: Editor
Edited the short film "We are sailing" that is intended to be used to educate about alcoholism. I didn't just edited it by the deadline set, I synced it as well. As the sound and visual were recorded on separate visuals (and it wasn't slated and marked due to technical difficulties on set), I had to sync them together by lip reading and not using the mark. This was a challenge I overcame.
November 2008: The Tenement Short Film
Position: Director of photography
My job was to insure each shot was set up to the directors request and vision. I always used my knowledge form editing to look out for crossing the line, continuity, shots that would be effectively edit together.

Position : In this placement I worked with the post-production departments. I helped dub a Gaelic kids show, as well helping in other area's of post production.

Position : Director, camera operator, and editor
My duties related to the organisation of a multi camera weekly programme production broadcasted on Sky TV across Europe. The process also included the preparation and organisation for the recordings to be broadcast online. This involved accurate time keeping and working to tight broadcast deadlines. Part of my responsibilities was to the train and provide staff development for existing and new crew members.
October 2007 Rain-dance workshop
Position : Camera Operator
Practical directing workshops ran by "Raindance." The Director that led the workshops, would direct me to shoot a small scene (in different angels/camera movements etc.) and teach the class about on how to direct your crew.
February 2007-June 2007 Spirit Aid Charity
Position : Editor
I had responsibility of editing footage from a Jak Milroy Afghanistan documentary from 28 tapes into a few short films. This was to serve as promotional material for the Charity.
December 2007 - April 2007 The She and "Daniel's"
Position : Director and Editor
For this production I was director and in some instances one camera operator, of the multi-camera shoot where for both music video's. Both these videos were shot on the same day so i had to plan thoroughly and organise which part of the crew would be shooting what sections at what times and communicate this all to the cast and crew so there was no mix ups and nothing left out of the shoot. I also edited "The She's" Music video.
January 2000- September 2004
Position: Community Arts Worker
Working with children in different age ranges starting form 5 years till late teens. My job started outside of the classes, by planning every class individually, in what games and workshop activities to help develop the children abilities and confidence, but we always have an aim for the end of term show.
